New Volunteers


Janet and Steve Templar recently volunteered to staff the library one evening per week. Steve is a retired systems analyist with the State of Oregon. He loves to golf. Janet worked with Home Health Care before her retirement. Hiking with the Chemeketans is one of her interests Janet and Steve both like to travel.


Gayle McMurria Bachik and her husband George Bachik will also staff the library one evening per week. Gayle is recently retired after a career in childhood education. Her interests include cooking, scrapbooking and spending time with her family and friends. George retired after 45 years working in State operated psychiatric hospitals in positions ranging from clinical social work to hospital superintendent. He enjoys woodworking, fly fishing and family.


Sandy Cooper (left) and Paula Guiles will share one evening per week at the library. Sandy is a retired church secretary. Her interests include playing golf at McNary Golf Club, knitting, crocheting, reading, gardening and family. Paula, a long time resident of Keizer, recently retired from her position as teacher/administrator with Cascade School District. She enjoys reading, traveling, family and helping animals




Barbara Thomson (left) has a degree in library technology. She has worked as a library volunteer in Hayward CA, teaching adults to read, participated in Little Theater and performed clerical work for the police department. Her hobby is stained glass. Teresa Read (right) is a trained computer programer and systems analyst. She loves libraries, books, media and computers. Above all, she likes helping people of all ages.
